20 Sep 09 Real Estate Listings Now on Mobile Phones Through Sikku

While consumers in the real estate sector are already used to searching for homes online, until now there has not been a way to connect with listings specifically geared for the mobile phones of today. A new platform, called Sikku, from the Arizona based founder of GainClients Inc., Ray Desmond. The concept operates similar to a standard website that users can browse from their phone or computer, but text messaging feeds are available to send information to home seekers within seconds.

Desmond believes that the time for instant information on real estate listings and real time rapid deals has arrived. Sikku is aimed at the more difficult to attract 35 and under crowd of buyers who want to do business at a more rapid pace.

The concept has taken Desmond 8 years to develop and so far, Sikku will launch in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas. The next phase of the roll out will cover San Diego, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon. Eventually, Desmond plans to take platform nationwide, offering service in every major metropolitan area in the US.

The cost to use Sikku is $1.99 a month for consumers and $9.99 for brokers, agents and loan officers. The service will be the first of its kind in the US market.
